We call it the OSM - the ‘Oh Shit Moment’. Don't pretend you don't think it or say it: we've all been there, hit with a problem or opportunity out of nowhere, and no appropriate communications project resource to defend the problem or exploit that opportunity. You might have stagnated and greyed out a bit on the next steps to take or which direction to go, or it may be that senior hires are a commitment too far in the current climate, if they're available at all. Brief us and we parachute in - yes, we know, that's more paratrooper than cavalry - assess the situation and act swiftly to produce a detailed strategic backward plan of where you want to be, how you’ll get there, by when and with what resource and budget - whether drop-everything crisis or against-the-clock opportunity positioning, commercial planning, digital strategy and execution, ambitious growth targets, or even end-game exit or sale. Tell us about the communications or commercial issue facing you or your client - crisis, reputation, profitability, service offering, skills gaps or an opportunity to launch something new - we turn up at a gallop, take in your situation, understand the environment (getting input, if appropriate, from the likes of political researchers or private investigators to get a clear view of likely influences), come up with a plan involving anything from straight PR, to social media, to a full-on marketing comms blitz, often deploying approaches rarely if ever considered - or known to you - and complete the project against a specific objective or timeline. About us

We have offices, desks and meeting rooms in Manchester and London. The core team has been working with one-another for more than twenty years. We have overlapping skills and expertise in PR, internal comms, crisis, reputation, political, legal, digital, social media, podcast production and input to business planning. One of us is a current national  newspaper and magazine contributor. Of course, we do have limitations, and if we don't have either the knowledge or experience then we'll introduce you to somebody we know who does. We also have long-standing partnerships with political researchers and lobbyists, private investigators - sometimes useful in proving something hasn't happened... - and a 25+ office UK law firm.

 

You'll know about some of our achievements, but, equally, some of our success will have been that you haven't.
